12 hours of free support

Up to twelve hours of free technical expertise to identify areas for resilience and business growth.

HOW TO QUALIFY

Here are the requirements for the Growth & Resilience Support:

Your business must be a micro or small enterprise located in Northumberland.

Your business must demonstrate a commitment to either safeguarding existing positions or creating new job opportunities.

To qualify as a micro or small enterprise, your business cannot exceed 50 full-time employees or have an annual turnover surpassing £10m.

  • The Growth and Resilience Support provides an enhanced package of support to your business to support in your business growth. This may include one-to-one advice, online or in-person consultations, or even project assistance. Topics covered include:

    • Sales growth and winning work

    • Strategic planning

  • The Growth and Resilience Support program comes to you courtesy of the Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS). This is a fully-funded initiative offering a variety of support services tailored for the forward-thinkers, the innovators, and the small and micro businesses throughout Northumberland. It's all about helping you overcome any obstacles that might be stopping your business from growing.

    Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Rural England Prosperity Fund, and North of Tyne Combined Authority, the program is managed by Advance Northumberland for Northumberland County Council and will be available until March 31, 2026.

  • Although the Growth and Resilience Support scheme covers the first twelve hours with a technical expert, bigger projects are definitely possible. For any work beyond this, you can talk directly with the expert to outline the scope and agree on costs outside of the program.

  • No problem at all! The NSBS team is on hand to listen, understand the hurdles facing your business, and match you with the perfect expert. Their service is adaptable and built to meet your specific business requirements.

    In addition, SMEs can access a free events program focused on business growth.
